Designed for the needs of an active and changing community, the Workshop 17 shared workspaces demonstrates the need for workspaces to be curated to accommodate spontaneous flexibility.

Workshop 17 offers a variety of work zones including quiet booths, shared work zones, semi-private work nodes, private meeting areas, dedicated offices, and work cafes. These elements work together to form a work neighbourhood designed to enhance levels of comfort, stimulation and productivity.

For the interior design of the Workshop 17 spaces, the design response draws on the history of the existing structure. Quality, handcrafted unique pieces from local designers, supporting local manufacturing drives the decision making for the curation of the spaces. The overall colour and material palette allows one to focus on work in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
